32 insurgents killed after launching attacks in Ramadi suspicion

Thirty-two suspected rebels were killed Thursday after they were Iraqi army soldiers and U.S. troops during apparently tried to launch several attacks in Ramadi, the provincial capital of the Iraqi province of Anbar rough, the army, said Friday.

“The attacks began shortly before noon and focused on several Iraqi and USA military outpost on a main road through the city,” said the army in a written statement.

“U.S. forces assess the attackers’ numbers more than 50 fighters and that the attacks were planned that are at the same time, but once initiated the attacks lacked coordination.”

An Iraqi army soldier and a U.S. Navy persistent minor injuries in the incident on Thursday, the military said.
