Indiana Bankruptcy Filings in May Hit All-Time High this year, experts indicate.
Residents in large parts of Indiana bankrupt at a record speed in the first half of this year, and experts say the number of applications that could reach reached the end of the year.
Applications for registration of individuals in the southern district of Indiana, Indianapolis and includes the lower two-thirds of the state, numbered 17,074 at June 30, compared to 15,806 in the first half of 2002.
“This is a Whisker more than 8%, an increase from last year,” said John O’Neal, the affairs of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District bankruptcy. He projects by the end of the year, no less than 34147 persons file, compared to 32232 in the previous year. This would be achieved for the district.
