MBA Roundtable hosts minority to increase the rate of home ownership
Respect for the commitment by President Bush and HUD Secretary Mel Martinez, an increase of the rate of minority home ownership in America, the Mortgage Bankers Association of America (MBA) have recently with the Mayor of Gary, Indiana, hosts the first in a series of “Model for the American Dream” roundtables.
The round table between the federal and provincial government officials, lenders, real estate professionals, agencies and consumer advice supports research to address the challenges and solutions for the minority in the home ownership rate Gary. MBA-members, including Bank One, Irwin Mortgage, M & T Mortgage, United collateral, Indiana and the Mortgage Bankers Association, Inc., is committed to the implementation of the following programs to Gary over the next 3 — 6 months:
? The increase in loans renovation services
? The strengthening of consumer confidence home-buyer education in the city, including the promotion of MBA? N Stop Mortgage Fraud campaign. The judgement Mortgage Fraud campaign to fight against predatory lending by informing consumers about their rights in the mortgage process, the European label in connection with the granting of credit ouster, and the providing a list of regulatory agencies to turn for help.
? Increase opportunities for reverse mortgage
